TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT IN A CHESS ACADEMY PROGRAM
“Chess Academy” is the provider of the “Service”.
“I” shall be deemed to refer to the Parent/Guardian of a child enrolled in the “Service”
The “Service” is any coaching program, holiday program, workshop, tournament, competition, assessment session or event provided by Chess Academy either online or in person.
I approve of my child’s involvement in the Chess Academy Service which they are enrolled in, and agree to all of the following.
I give permission for my child to participate in the in-person or online activities organised for the days/classes my child is enrolled in.
I understand that in-person and online programs and meetings may be recorded by Chess Academy for internal reference purposes and accountability and also agree and give consent for Chess Academy to record my child during the Service including online; club sessions, programs, group classes, private classes, workshops, assessment sessions, tournaments and competitions.
I agree not to record Service sessions nor capture any images of any participants in the sessions.
I understand that all fees must be paid in advance by EFT or Credit Card and that Chess Academy may remove my child from the Service if I do not make payment by the due date.
No refunds will be provided once a program has commenced. Program duration is generally defined as a School Term of 6 to 8 weeks/sessions.
A refund, less a $20.00 administration fee, will be provided if a booking cancellation request is received in writing/by email, 7-days prior to the program starting. No refunds will be provided for bookings cancelled with less than 7-days notice.
I agree to pay the full term fee for which my child is successfully enrolled in, regardless of whether my child actually attends.
I understand that there are minimum numbers required for a Service to proceed. Chess Academy reserves the right to cancel a Service if a minimum number of enrollments is not met or for any other reason . In the event of Chess Academy cancelling a Service, enrollment fees will be refunded on a pro-rata basis considering the number of sessions which have been provided, less any booking fees, administration fess, merchant processing fees or bank fees.
I understand that Chess Academy is not a child care or child minding service and that I am solely responsible for my child, before and immediately after the end of any in-person Service session my child attends.
Except as otherwise expressly required by law, Chess Academy does not accept any liability for personal injury, property damage or loss sustained by any participant as a result of his or her participation in the Service due to any cause whatsoever unless caused by the proven negligence of Chess Academy, its contractors or employees.
Chess Academy reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions.
