PREREQUISITE
All players must know how the chess pieces move & capture and must be familiar with the laws of Chess.
Entry limited to Primary level students ( prep to year 6) of Saltwater College.
WHEN
Date : Sunday 5th December 2021
Time : 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
FORMAT
This tournament will be Tornelo rated.
7 round swiss of 10 mins + 5 sec per move, per player (around 30 minutes per round)
DIVISIONS
All players play together in one tournament with division prizes based on year levels.
PRIZES
Prizes include Trophies, Medals and Certificates for each year level from Prep/Year 1 through to Year 6, and Girls’ division.

Regular Entry Fee : $ 22

This tournament will be played ONLINE via Tornelo platform.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE
Players will be required to play on a laptop or desktop PC with audio and video capabilities.
(iPads are not recommended as using Zoom and Tornelo on an iPad can be difficult.)

If this is your first time using Tornelo and Zoom for online tournaments, please go to the ZOOM Meeting room link at 12:40 p.m.
There will be a brief free practice tournament https://tornelo.com/chess/orgs/chess-academy/events/free-practice-first-time-tornelo-users/summary on the day prior (SAT 4th Dec.) to allow those who have not previously used Tornelo and Zoom, to familiarise themselves with the system and avoid any technical issues or delays on the day of the championship tournament.
