TERMS AND CONDITIONS – SERVICE OR EVENT
“Chess Academy” is the provider of the “Service”.
“I” shall be deemed to refer to the Parent/Guardian of a child registered/enrolled in the “Service”
The “Service” is any coaching program, holiday program, workshop, tournament or event provided by Chess Academy.
I approve of my child’s involvement in the Service (Chess Academy Event or Tournament) in which they have been registered or enrolled in and I have read and agree to all the terms and conditions in this document.
I acknowledge and agree that Chess Academy, its employees or its contractors will NOT be held responsible for the supervision and care of my child and that I take full responsibility for my child’s supervision, care and behavior at all times during the Service.
If I choose to leave my child at the Service or event and I am not immediately contactable, I authorise staff, in the event of accident or illness, to obtain all necessary medical assistance and treatment for my child and agree to meet any expenses attached to such treatment.
I understand and acknowledge that my child should not and will not attend the Service if suffering from infectious or communicable disease as identified by the Department of Health.
I hereby grant permission to Chess Academy to photograph and/or video record my child during the course of the Service for which they are registered in and attend. I agree that all rights to these images, sounds or text will be the sole property of Chess Academy and make no claim over them. I give permission for any video and images captured to be used in school and parent reporting, published on the Chess Academy website or its social media pages.. (You may opt out of the above clause by notifying Chess Academy in writing./by email)
I understand that a late pick-up charge of $25.00 per 15 minutes or part thereof, per child, applies after the Service finishing time.
I understand that Chess Academy may remove my child from the Service if I do not make payment by the due time.
I understand that there are minimum numbers required for a Service to proceed. Chess Academy reserves the right to cancel a Service if a minimum number of registrations or enrollments is not met. In the event of Chess Academy cancelling a Service, registration/enrollment fees will be refunded (less any fund transfer fees, administration fees or booking fees), or a credit coupon will be issued for entry in a future Service.
Except as otherwise expressly required by law, Chess Academy does not accept any liability for personal injury, property damage or loss sustained by any participant as a result of his or her participation in the Service due to any cause whatsoever unless caused by the proven negligence of Chess Academy, its contractors or employees.
Chess Academy reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions.
