Upcoming Tournament Opportunities

We are excited to announce several upcoming chess tournaments in the area, specifically designed for junior players. These events cater to various skill levels, ensuring that your child can participate in a fun and competitive environment.

 

Saturday, 29th March – Werribee – Chess Academy Kids

  • Open to all kids under 16
  • Similar to our End of Term Online tournament, but in-person with two extra rounds
  • Suitable for all levels, with players divided into three divisions based on playing strength

Saturday, 5th April – Werribee – Knights, Newbies & Girls

  • Three separate tournaments for kids under 16, tailored to their skill levels
  • Plenty of prizes to be won!

Saturday, 12th April – Werribee – Wyndham City Shield

  • A fantastic tournament for kids aged 5-16
  • The third installment of this year’s series, with divisions and prizes awarded by age groups

Anzac Day weekend – Fri & Sat 25th & 26th April – Wyndham Classic 2025

This will be a FIDE & ACF rated tournament with the longer classical time control.
