for Bacchus Marsh Grammar Students
Term 2 -2025 Chess Program

   ENROLLMENTS OPEN  

These following programs are  for BMG students only and  are subsidised by the school. The fees shown are the portion for parents to pay, and should be paid directly to Chess Academy.

Year 1 to year 6 students only.

Students who have never played chess and are not familiar with the rules, should complete the short preparation course at www.playchess.com.au/learn/  or  https://academy.learnchess.com.au/  as a guest or in-person  Absolute Beginner course ( https://wyndhamchess.club/free-course-for-beginners/  ) held by Wyndham Chess Club during the school holidays, available in-person or online.

BMG Chess Program Details for Beginners and Novice Players

Lessons : Eight (8) lessons this term.

Frequency :  One (1) lesson per week.

Lesson Duration : Allow 50 to  60 minutes

Lessons Format : Review, lesson, interaction, game play practice

Tuesdays  from 29th April to 17th June 2025
a) Beginners 6:00 pm
b) Intermediate 6:30pm

Koomail Tardy Community Centre

Thursdays from 1st May to 19th June 2025.
Start Time:  6:15 pm

ONLINE Class times :
a) Wednesdays from 30 April to 18th June 2025.
Start Time : 6.00 pm (Beginner  Only)
b) Fridays  from 2nd May to 20th June 2025.
Start Time :  6.00 pm (Intermediate & Advanced only)

Online Lessons will be conducted through Zoom. Students will need to use a device with audio & video and internet access.
